What is Authentic Nutrition?

Authentic Nutrition balances the importance of wholesome food ingredients with convenience. Food and healthy living should not be complicated. To keep things simple, we will focus on eating colorful foods, avoiding foods you can’t pronounce and finding balance in daily living. With the understanding that food is an important part of our culture, we will apply the same concepts to social events, celebrations and dining out to ensure a more successful outcome.

To paraphrase the philosopher Hippocrates, food is medicine. If food is medicine, then what is on your plate? No matter your answer, Authentic Nutrition’s goal is not food deprivation; it is to help increase the variety of foods you eat so you have more energy and improve your overall well-being. Together, we will build an individualized plan to suit your unique needs, using simple strategies and familiar foods to improve your health. Change does not occur overnight, but through building new habits. Together we can create change.

Why Authentic Nutrition?

Authentic Nutrition recognizes the importance of good nutrition. The food we eat sends messages throughout our bodies that can create balance or imbalance. Signs and symptoms of imbalance can fall anywhere on the spectrum from fatigue and weight gain to more complex conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and irritable bowel syndrome. The good news: good nutrition has the power to improve your overall well-being, reduce your risk for disease, and improve or even reverse current diseases.

Authentic Nutrition’s holistic approach to wellness addresses the underlying causes of disease and dysfunction to create lasting change. By recognizing when and how your symptoms began we can use nutrition to improve your overall well-being. Authentic Nutrition is here to help you better understand and treat your personal signs and symptoms in a relaxed and nurturing environment.

“Health is a fragile gift—nutrition is an important key to maintaining it. Poor nutrition impacts those around you. My desire is to share this message and to provide tools to achieve a healthier lifestyle.”
